Overview

Available for weekly or seasonal rental throughout the year, and with the capacity to accommodate up to 11 guests, this is a beautiful and tastefully furnished 3-storey chalet.

Located on the Montana side of the resort, the chalet enjoys a serenely tranquil location, within a 5-minute drive (or 15-minute walk) up to the main infrastructure of Crans Montana. Alternatively, a free shuttle bus service, operating all year round, will enable you to get around the entire resort. Bus No. 436 stops regularly at Crans-Montana, Marigny, a short walk from the chalet.

The resort offers three different access points to the linked ski areas of Montana-Arnouva in Montana, Violettes Express at Barzettes, and Crans-Cry d'Er in Crans all of which are easily accessible by means of a short bus ride from the Marigny stop (the Montana-Arnouva access point doesn't even require a bus change, to access the others swap bus at the top of the funicular at Montana Gare). For those wishing to use their cars, parking is available at each of these depature points.

In addition to the free shuttle buses, several lines serve the Haut-Plateau. All these lines can be used freely within the free zone.

The chalet will comfortably accommodate two families. Its garden level studio has a private entrance but can connect internally with floors above if so desired.

Two double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower/WC and clothes washer.

GARDEN LEVEL

A large self-contained STUDIO (featuring internal stairs leading up to a door connecting to the rest of the chalet if so required) can accommodate a family of up to four (2 adults and 2 children).

Separate fully-equipped kitchen (including hob and oven, fridge and microwave).
Separate shower/WC with adjoining utility area housing clothes washer and tumble dryer.

PROXIMITY TO SKI LIFTS

The closest departure point is from Barzettes/Violettes, just 3 mins by car.
For beginner skiers or for families with young children learning to ski, we would recommend, at least initially, taking the lift up from Montana-Arnouva/Signal (7 mins by car). The ski school operates from here.
A third departure is from the Crans side of town (7 mins by car).

Getting to Chalet Tilly

The nearest international airport is Geneva and SWISS and numerous other international airlines offer daily scheduled flights to Geneva, Zurich and Bern. There is a regional airport at Sion and some budget airlines even offer low cost flights from London Gatwick with onward transfers to Crans-Montana ?C this is one of the shortest airport-to-resort transfers in the Alps.

By Car

No matter where you are staying in Crans Montana having a car at your disposal will facilitate and enhance your stay enabling you to take full advantage of all the facilities and possibilities on offer not only in the resort but in the neighboring areas. You may wish to take advantage of some of the car rental discount offers proposed by your airline, or simply rent a car through the many airport companies at the airport ?C book in advance for the best deals.

Your journey by car from Geneva airport (direction Lausanne) will take you just under two hours (170km) most of which is easy and scenic motorway driving (A9) to Sierre. After exiting the motorway at Sierre Ouest/Crans Montana, a 20-minute drive for the remaining 14km will take you up the winding mountain-road to the resort and Chalet Tilly. Public Transport

Public transport in Switzerland is simple, reliable and efficient. Try using the Swiss Travel System to book an integrated all-in-one ticket (with additional benefits and discounts) including the funicular from Sierre to Marigny or Montana Gare, or consult the Swiss Federal Railways site.

On average direct trains run from Geneva Airport to Sierre approximately every 30 minutes and the journey will take about 2h15 minutes. Browse the timetable.
On exiting Sierre station, your arrival may coincide with the departure of a SMC (Sierre Montana Crans) shuttle bus but if not a short 300m walk (follow the red line on the pavement) to the SMC funicular railway terminus. Departing every half hour the funicular will transport you to the resort in approximately 20 minutes.
At Montana Gare, take the free shuttle Bus No. 436 to Crans-Montana, Marigny, a 3 minute walk to the chalet.
You can also take a bus from Sierre, or order a taxi, but the funicular is much quicker and easier with enjoyable views across the valley to Zinal.

Private taxi transfers to Crans-Montana

There are several taxi companies in Crans-Montana offering airport transfers in both directions, but taxi transfers from airports tend to be quite costly so we would recommend that you rent a car which will in any case come in handy for getting to and from the ski lifts and exploring Crans Montana and its environs.
